Our Journey of Fifty Years
Government High School, Betoda was established in 1977 by the Directorate of Education, Government of Goa, to provide quality secondary education to students of Betoda and neighbouring villages.
Over five decades the school has grown into a respected institution known for academic excellence, discipline, values and holistic development — welcoming digital learning, Green School initiatives and value-based education.
As we celebrate our Golden Jubilee in 2027, we remain committed to nurturing young minds with knowledge, values, discipline, creativity and confidence.

Golden Jubilee Souvenir (1977–2027)
One of the proud milestones in the history of the school was the inauguration of the new school building on 30th May 2014, graced by eminent personalities including Shri Manohar Parrikar (Chief Minister of Goa), Shri Mahadev Naik, Shri Pramod Sawant, Shri Anil Pawar (Director of Education), and Mrs. Poonam Samant (Sarpanch).
